We’ve been showing our independent boutiques some love since isolation struck.
Tootsa’s poor Bricks & Mortar re-sellers have all been suffering with closures, so we wanted to showcase them to you and give them our support. And hopefully yours too!

Let’s all stay home, think big, shop small …and online!

This week I’d love to introduce you to our Barcelona stockists Ana and Xavi and their beautiful shop ‘Aupa Organics‘.

Aúpa Organics first opened its doors in December 2014 in the Poblenou neighborhood of Barcelona. Poblenou is also Ana and Xavi’s home.

Previously an old industrial district, today this seaside neighbourhood is reportedly the ‘Barrio’ with the most children and as such is naturally very family friendly, with a thriving creative community to boot! Poblenou lies at the centre of the Barcelona design movement, and attracts everyone from hipsters to start-ups with its trendy markets, concept stores and innovative festivals. A must-visit next time you’re in town!

Situated on one of the areas beautiful pedestrian streets, Xavi and Ana’s shop is bathed in natural light and surrounded by other like-minded stores specialising in Independent brands with an awareness for the environment, with Aupa Organics groundbreakers amongst them when it came to stocking brands with a philosophy of Zero Waste .

Find everything from beautiful wooden educational toys for toddlers and sustainable sensory toys for babies, organic clothing, & packaging free cosmetics, tableware and furniture. It’s a cleverly curated collection not only thinking about materials, and fair trade but with a fantastic focus on education, and learning through play.

And whilst the streets of Poblenou are unusually quiet we can still visit ‘Aupa Organics’ online selection here. Do go and take a look and give them your support!
