As you know times are exceptionally tough for Independent boutiques right now. Now, more than ever before, our Indy shops need us! Most have unfortunately had to close but thankfully many are still managing to send out web shop orders. Your purchases now will have the ability for these shops to still be here when this crisis is over. And if you don’t need anything at the moment do think about purchasing a gift voucher for the future.

And in the meantime we will be giving a little shout out to some of the terrific Tootsa stockists around the world! First up is one of our Canadian stockists – ‘PINGO APPAREL’

We love Pingo who have been stocking Tootsa for a couple of seasons now and are responsible for putting Tootsa on the backs of many a Toronto tot!
Pingo have made sure that each brand they carry is gentle to the environment, to the people who make them and to those who wear them! They’ve also brilliantly started selling a selection of  2nd hand Preloved Pingo clothes.
And check out their great ‘mama-papa-me’ collection of ‘twinning’ styles > here. We love the ‘Girls Support Girls’ T-Shirt.

Say Hi! to Pingo’s founder Monica (looking divine, on-brand, & ‘twinning’ in her Tootsa Panthera Sweatshirt)

Monica was raised in Mexico City by retail owners, so she grew up surrounded by women’s clothes.
It was when she was working as a Merchandising Coordinator for an E-Comm site and, not feeling intellectually challenged, quit her job to go travel and find inspiration. Though, what she didn’t know was that her inspiration was going to come from her first child!

A year and a half after her son was born, Monica wanted to set up shop and bring all the cool kids brands she had come across whilst traveling in Europe, to Canada. She loved not only their style but the fact that they were fair trade and made with organic fabrics. So she started to work on her little project early in 2017, but it wasn’t until March 2018, two weeks before her second child was born, that she finally launched Pingo Apparel, now based in Toronto Canada. The shop is curated with high quality and unique kids clothes from Canadian and International small brands that follow fair business practices. So everything she sells is ethically made, and for the most part made with organic materials.

But best of all is her collaboration with marvellous charity Mary’s Meals. For every sale on the Pingo Apparel Website Marys Meals will provide 5 school meals to children in need. Mary’s Meals is an international organisation that provides the most effective help to those suffering the effects of extreme poverty in the world’s poorest communities.
