A Bedtime Story For Mini Activists!•
Posté le novembre 21 2019
Fresh off the press ‘Little Turtle Turns The Tide’ is an inspirational new children’s book on the subject of ocean plastics.
Award wining novelist and screen-writer Lauren Davies and talented illustrator Nico Williams are both fellow supporters and ambassadors of the environmental charity ‘Surfers Against Sewage‘ and have created this beautiful story with proceeds donated to the campaign for pollution free oceans and waterways.
As active environmentalists, Lauren and Nico wished to create a positive and inspiring environmental message for young children, and give back to a cause close to their hearts. ‘Little Turtle Turns The Tide’ will help raise awareness of plastic pollution among young children without making them feel that this is an insurmountable problem.
At the heart of the book is the message that we can all make change and that there is still something we can do to help our planet. It encourages team work, friendships and working together to make a better place for us all to live.
With the recent Global Strikes by young activists, never has there been a better time to launch an environmental book for young children.
Children have a powerful voice and they can educate others. One of the strong messages in the book is that they may be small, ‘but small things can do great big things as well!’
Flicking through the pages, you will discover this book is also incredibly stunning to look at, and a very calming read that can simply be enjoyed as a favourite bedtime story with children from 3-7 years of age.
The book is currently available to buy at Surf Girl Beach Boutique
And will be for sale in nationwide book stores soon.
A school pack with lesson plans and eco activity inspiration, posters etc are available for schools. Contact the publisher ‘ Orca Publications’ here.
Little Turtle Turns the Tide will appeal to young children who love the ocean, and inspire them to be heroes!
